COP-PILOT 1st Open Call – Apply for Funding & Scale Your Innovation 

The European COP-PILOT project is now launching its 1st Open Call — a funding opportunity for innovators, startups, SMEs, research organisations, and industry players developing Cloud–Edge–IoT solutions and ecosystem-oriented services. 

COP-PILOT is an EU-funded innovation action under the Horizon Europe Programme, developing a Collaborative Open Platform (COP) designed to enable end-to-end orchestration across sectors and computing environments. The platform integrates advanced AI-driven tools, automation with SLA guarantees, and secure infrastructure to support cross-sector applications in energy, smart cities, agriculture, manufacturing, vineyards, and more — fostering collaboration and real-world impact. 

Open Call Timeline 

  • Official launch: Monday, 16 February 2026 
  • Call deadline: Friday, 17 April 2026 (17:00 CET, Brussels time) 
  • Funding opportunities and important activities during the campaign included teaser posts, joint webinars with sister projects, reminders, and the official launch communications across COP-PILOT channels. 

What Is Funded 

The 1st Open Call supports third-party innovations aiming to onboard or extend solutions on the COP platform. Selected projects can receive: 

  • Up to €200,000 in funding per selected project 
  • Tailored support over an 8-month programme, including mentoring, technical support and access to the COP ecosystem 

Eligible applicants include SMEs, startups, research teams, innovators, and multi-stakeholder consortia committed to piloting and scaling solutions in cross-domain computing environments. 

How to Engage 

Interested applicants are encouraged to: 

  • Review the COP-PILOT Open Call documentation and eligibility criteria on the official COP-PILOT website. 
  • Prepare a competitive proposal aligned with the platform’s objectives for cross-sector service orchestration. 
  • Participate in awareness activities (e.g., webinars, informational posts) promoted by COP-PILOT and partners.
