TRUNSPORT Open Call 1: Up to €60,000 to Strengthen Cybersecurity in the European Transport Sector
InCites Consulting, as a partner of the TRUNSPORT project, is pleased to support the launch of TRUNSPORT Open Call 1, a new funding opportunity for organisations working across the European transport ecosystem.
The Open Call aims to help transport organisations strengthen their cybersecurity preparedness and resilience by providing access to financial support, specialised training, expert mentoring and advanced cybersecurity services. A total budget of €1.26 million has been allocated to support 21 selected projects, with each beneficiary eligible to receive up to €60,000 in co-funding, covering 50% of the total project cost. Selected projects will participate in a structured nine-month support programme.
Supporting cyber-resilient transport operations
As transport systems become increasingly digital and interconnected, organisations must protect both their Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments against evolving cyber threats.
Through Open Call 1, TRUNSPORT will support organisations in improving their cyber preparedness, resilience and alignment with the NIS2 Directive, while encouraging the development, validation and uptake of innovative cybersecurity solutions.
Selected beneficiaries will also gain access to the TRUNSPORT Cyber Support Hub, including cyber threat and risk assessment tools, vulnerability testing, real-time risk monitoring, cybersecurity training, capacity-building activities, mentoring from consortium experts and networking opportunities with transport and cybersecurity stakeholders across Europe.
Who can apply?
The Open Call is addressed to a broad range of organisations active in transport and cybersecurity, including transport operators and infrastructure managers, transport service providers, technology and digital solution providers, SMEs and startups, public authorities, universities and research centres, NGOs and other relevant stakeholders.
Applicants from EU Member States, including Overseas Countries and Territories, as well as EEA countries – Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein – are eligible to participate. Applications may be submitted either by individual organisations or by consortia.
