High-Tech and Affordable 5G Network Roll-out to Every Corner

Affordable5G was a Horizon 2020 research project that designed and implemented a cost-effective end-to-end 5G network architecture tailored for private and enterprise deployments.
The project combined open and disaggregated 5G components, including O-RAN-compliant RAN, 5G Standalone core, edge computing, AI/ML-based optimisation, slicing, and neutral host strategies. Affordable5G validated its solutions through pilots across diverse verticals, demonstrating mission-critical services, smart city IoT, and industrial applications in real-world environments.

Role of InCites Consulting:
INCITES participates primarily in the exploitation activities of the Affordable5G project by contributing to market and techno-economic analysis and the development of business models.
INCITES also contributes to the definition of use cases and requirements, as well as to dissemination activities.
