SPEAR is a Horizon 2020 research and innovation action focused on enabling efficient, secure, and reliable delivery of content and services over future 5G networks through advanced peer-to-peer (P2P) architectures.
The project tackles key challenges related to scalability, latencies, and trust in distributed media and data dissemination over heterogeneous network environments. By integrating secure P2P content distribution mechanisms with adaptive networking techniques, SPEAR2020 develops a flexible, trustworthy, and scalable delivery framework capable of supporting high-bandwidth applications (e.g., video streaming, edge services) with improved resource efficiency, resilience, and Quality of Experience (QoE) for end users.

Role of InCites Consulting:
Contributes to quality assurance and risk management activities
INCITES contributes to quality assurance and risk management activities, ensuring a structured framework of procedures that monitors and responds to events affecting project implementation. INCITES supports the design of the evaluation strategy and identifies regulatory gaps relevant to the project. INCITES is primarily involved in analysing the project’s business prospects, including market analysis and business modelling, and is responsible for exploitation activities through techno-economic analysis assessing investment potential. INCITES also contributes to dissemination through workshops, conferences, scientific publications, and corporate communication channels.
