A consortium of network operators and equipment vendors wanted to bid on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project to deploy FTTx in rural ‘white’ areas in a European country. inCITES Consulting was asked to perform a techno-economic analysis to evaluate the business prospects of the investment over the investment horizon.
Working with the consortium’s executives as well as the national telecoms regulator, inCITES acted as an independent advisor and developed a detailed parametric techno-economic model covering both the Deployment and Exploitation phases of the project.
inCITES’ analysis included a thorough assessment of the proposed investment’s profitability that allowed the evaluation committee and other auditors draw robust conclusions regarding the potential socioeconomic impact of the investment, while understanding the risks it entailed.
